면역학및의학미생물학실험실

Immunology & Medical Microbiology

본 실험실은 인체에 질병을 일으키는 미생물들의 공격과 이에 대한 생체 내 방어체계인 면역학 분야를 연구하며, 특히 면역학 분야 중 T 세포의 세포자연사기전 (Apoptosis) 연구를 통한 염증성질환과 자가면역질환의 원인규명과 관련된 분자면역학적 연구를 수행하고 있다. 최근 T 세포의 활성과 연관된 파골세포의 분화 및 이와 연관된 골다공증 발현에 대한 연구를 수행하는 신규 학문분야인 골면역학 (Osteoimmunology) 분야로 연구를 확대하고 있으며, 궁극적으로 면역체계와 골격계사이의 연관관계를 규명하고자 한다. 또한 동물 배아줄기세포의 분화연구 및 면역억제 형질전환복제돼지 개발에 대한 연구과제를 수행하고 있다. 특히, 본 연구실의 연구수행은 DNA Chip 분석을 통한 신규 질환 유전자 발굴, 생체 신호전달기작 규명, 유전자적중 생쥐 개발 및 형질전환 동물개발 등의 특정 질환의 원인을 규명할 수 있는 최신기술들을 사용하고 있으므로, "Gene to Animal"에 대한 폭넓은 학문적 지식과 다양한 기술 습득이 요구된다.
