광합성진화학연구실

Plant Physiology: Light Signaling from Cyanobacteria to Plants

본 연구실은 모델 남세균 Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803과 애기장대를 대상으로 광합성 기구의 광보호 메카니즘의 진화 (통일성과 다양성)를 다양한 분자유전학, 분자생리학, 기능유전체학, 구조 유전체학 기법으로 종합적으로 이해하고자 한다.

신규 남세균 게놈의 해독, 감마선이나 Tn5 기반 무작위적돌연변이된 집단 구축 및 활용, RNA sequencing, yeast one/two hybrid 분석, 이차원 전기영동, CHIP, Co-IP 등 최신의 기법을 활용하여 빌린계 광수용체와 카로티노이드 결합 단백질에 대한 광생물학적 연구 및 이들의 활용에 대해서 연구하고 있다.

특히 키메라 피토크롬을 활용하여 식물의 열형태형성신호전달 경로 제어를 위한 응용 가능성을 탐색하고 있다. 또한 유지 미세조류 Nannochloropsis salina와 밀을 대상으로 하여 광합성 산물의 분배 및 세포크기 조절에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 바이오 디젤 생산의 경제성확보와 밀의 생산성 증산을 위한 연구도 진행 중이다.
