관심분야

프로테오믹스 연구 :
단백질의 상호작용 및 단백질이 나타내는 성질 등을 총체적인 학문을 프로테오믹스라고 하는데 본 연구실에서는 이러한 프로테오믹스를 분석화학자의 입장에서 연구한다. 정형화된 방법을 개선하여 새로운 분석방법을 개발하고 이를 응용하고자 노력한다.

펩티드의 효율적 측정 :
단백질을 질량분석기로 직접 분석하는 것은 데이터분석의 한계, 감도의 감소, 시료의 손실 등등의 문제가 있으므로, 단백질은 효소에 의해 펩티드 형태로 가수분해되어 질량분석기로 분석되는 것이 일반적이다. 본 연구실에서는 Tagging 방법을 통해서 향상된 감도를 나타내기 위해 노력하고 있다.

인산화에 관한 연구 :
인산화는 세포내의 신경 전달 작용 및 효소의 활성에 크게 기여하는 것으로 알려졌다. 본 연구실에서는 인산화를 효율적으로 농축하여 감도를 높이는 연구를 수행하고 있다.

MALDI를 이용한 효율적인 생화학물질 분석 방법 연구 :
매트릭스 보조 레이저 탈착 이온화법 (MALDI, matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization) 방법은 전자 분무 이온화 방법 (ESI, Electrospray ionization)과 함께 프로테오믹스에서 흔히 쓰이는 이온화 방법이다. 본 연구실에서는 MALDI를 이용하여 단백질, 펩타이드, 핵산, 지질 등등의 생화학물질을 분석하고 있으면 보다 효율적인 분석을 하기 위해 노력하고 있다.

엑소좀 (exosome) 농축 연구 :
액조좀은 세포와 세포 사이의 신호 전달 물질로 알려져 있으며 양이 매우 작아서 농축의 과정을 거친 후에 분석이 가능하다. 본 연구실에서는 최근 관심을 받고 있는 엑소좀을 효율적으로 농축시키는 연구를 수행 중에 있다.

단백질 약산 가수분해 연구 :
약산 조건에서 단백질을 섭씨 100도로 가열하게 되면 단백질에서 아스타트 산의 C-말단이 특이적으로 분해되어 펩타이드가 형성된다. 단백질의 약산 가수분해는 효소를 이용하는 분해 방법보다 경제적으로 유리하고 특이성 또한 뛰어나다. 본 실험실에서는 약산 가수분해 조건의 최적화 및 적용에 관한 연구를 수행 중이다.

합성 고분자를 MALDI 질량분석기로 분석하는 연구 :
합성 고분자는 일상 생활에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 합성 고분자의 분자량은 흔히 GPC 등의 방법이 이용되는데, 정확한 분자량을 측정하지 못하는 한계가 있다. 본 실험실에서는 MALDI 질량분석기를 이용한 합성 고분자의 효과적인 분석에 관하여 연구하고 있다.
